Milford Regional’s Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine Expands in Whitinsville

Milford Regional is pleased to announce the expansion of our Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine services at Whitinsville Medical Center. The renovated space has almost tripled their size from 2,000 to 5,500 square feet, allowing for a much larger gym with state-of-the-art exercise and rehabilitation equipment including a new Trazer.

Schwartz Center Rounds Begin at Milford Regional Medical Center

In an effort to enhance patient care by strengthening the relationship between patients and caregivers, Milford Regional Medical Center held its first Schwartz Center Rounds recently. These rounds (multidisciplinary sessions) provide a forum where hospital staff can discuss various emotional and social issues often encountered while caring for patients, and how the staff can make a positive impact on a patient’s emotional well-being. Milford Regional Medical Center is happy to announce its new partnership with the Milford Senior Center. Together, Milford Regional and the Senior Center look forward to offering a variety of programs to promote health and wellness for seniors who reside in Milford and surrounding towns. Upcoming programs include a free lecture by Samuel Zylstra, MD, about female incontinence and pelvic floor disorders, and a Thanksgiving celebration. In addition, Milford Regional’s wellness programs such as tai chi and yoga will be held at the Senior Center. All programs, including the programs put on by the Senior Center, are open to anyone regardless of where they reside. Read more.

Milford Regional Medical Center recently opened its sixth laboratory location in Hopedale at 54 Hopedale Street. Patients requiring blood work may go to this newest lab location any time between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. This lab, as does all other Milford Regional labs, serves patients of all ages and can be contacted directly at 508-422-9739. Patients are encouraged to pre-register for lab services through Milford Regional’s Pre-Registration Service at 508-422-2222, available daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Read more.
