Mother, Father and Baby All Share the Same Birthday!
Three’s a Charm! Proud parents Justin Catanzaro and Elizabeth Hogan of Milford both share the same birthday as their newborn son, Rocco Anthony, who was born at Milford Regional Medical Center on March 5.
It didn’t occur to Elizabeth Hogan that it was her birthday until after baby Rocco was born. It didn’t occur to Rocco’s father, Justin Cantanzaro, that it was his birthday as well. However, after the happy couple from Milford had a few minutes to breathe following Rocco’s birth on Thursday, March 5, at Milford Regional Medical Center, the enormity of the event struck them. Rocco’s birth alone gave Elizabeth and Justin reason to marvel, but the realization that the three of them were all born on the same day was mind boggling!
According to Milford Regional obstetrician Leonard DiGiovanni, MD, who delivered Rocco, he calculated that the chances of a mother, father and baby all having the same birthday was one in 133,225.
The Maternity Center nurses celebrated this auspicious occasion by presenting a birthday cake, flowers and a rousing rendition of the “Happy Birthday” melody. Since then, the proud parents have been contacted by both local and national media.
27-year-old Justin, 25-year-old Elizabeth and newborn Rocco will always share the same birthday and, to make it even more special, perhaps their wedding as well? Elizabeth thinks it’s a great idea. “We’ll do a big birthday party, wedding!” she exclaimed, quickly adding, “I didn’t talk to him [Justin] about it yet.”
